The Philosophy

Treating the Student, Not Just the Symptom.

In traditional psychiatry, success is often measured by a reduction of symptoms. At Emerald Aura, we measure success by capability. Can you sit through a lecture? Can you organize your semester? Can you sleep without anxiety?

We believe that medication is a tool, not a cure. Our approach integrates precision medication management with environmental advocacy. This means we don’t just treat your brain chemistry; we help shape the academic environment around you to ensure you thrive.

Rigorous Safety Protocols

We take a conservative, safety-first approach to stimulants. We utilize cardiac screenings, PDMP check, and teacher assessments before prescribing, ensuring that medication is safe and medically necessary.

The “Emerald Standard”

Collaborative Treatment

We do not practice in silo. We actively collaborate with therapists, pediatricians, and school counselors. For our younger patients, we view the parent as a co-therapist, keeping you involved at every step.

Executive Functioning

Focus is more than just paying attention; it’s about execution. Our treatment plans are designed around the academic calendar, helping students manage transitions, finals weeks, and the demands of high-performance environments.

"The goal isn't just focus. The goal is to flourish."

Meet Your CEO

Brittney Gould, PMHNP-BC

Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I founded Emerald Aura Wellness to bridge the gap between medical stability and academic success. Early in my career, I saw too many brilliant students fall through the cracks of the healthcare system and oftentimes waiting months for an appointment, or to be rushed through a 15-minute visit without being truly heard.

My practice is built on the belief that healthcare should be accessible, transparent, and unhurried.

As a specialist in ADHD and Anxiety for children and young adults, I understand the unique pressure of the modern educational system. I am not just here to write prescriptions; I am here to be your advocate, your safety net, and your partner in navigating the complexities of neurodivergence.

Why Membership

Insurance-driven healthcare often focuses providers to see 30+ patients a day, leaving no time for the “invisible work” that actually helps you succeed.

By operating as a direct-specialty practice, we keep our caseload small by design. This allows us the time to read your 504 plan, answer your text on a Tuesday evening, and coordinate with your school, services that insurance simply does not cover. We prioritize quality of care over volume of patients.
